Have you ever wondered why there are so many different versions of the Bible
published in the English language? . . . and which version is the
most accurate and trustworthy? Accuracy is not a matter of opinion.
It must be demonstrated by facts.
The simple fact of the matter is that there can never be such a thing as different,
equally trustworthy versions of the truth in any given language.
Any version or paraphrase of the Bible that draws people into a closer relationship
with God arguably serves a useful purpose. However . . .
everyone who desires to grow in understanding of the truth will do well to follow
the principle expressed in 2 Timothy 2:15:
Study to show yourself approved to God,
a worker who does not need to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the Word of Truth.
Ideally, there should only be one version of the Bible in any given language.
While The AV7 Bible is not claimed to be a "perfect" translation,
it does represent an earnest effort to develop the most literally accurate
translation possible that is easy-to-read in present-day English. In pursuit
of that ideal, The New Authorized Version Foundation is dedicated to the development
and publication of factual documentation to demonstrate the very significant and very
important differences between accurate literal translation and widely varying interpretive paraphrases.
