AV7 is reliable.

The reliability of a Bible text may be closely related to its accuracy; however accuracy and reliability are two different attributes with different criteria.

While accuracy pertains primarily to accuracy in translation or transmission of the content, reliability pertains to the quality of the source from which translation or transmission is made.

The original source texts from which the Bible has been translated are the most reliable and trustworthy documents ever recorded.  They are greater in number, with far more archaeological evidence to support their validity, than any other document of great age in origin.

The vast majority of source documents from which the Bible has been translated have been preserved, copied, and multipled over many centuries, some for thousands of years, with extreme care.  The fact that those sources have been so widely copied and precisely preserved for so long a time is a strong testimony to their reliability.  The AV7 Bible is based on those sources.

Ironically, however, within a relatively recent 150 years or so, some documents that had been unknown for many centuries have been found and some so-called "textual critics" have argued that "older must be better."  They argue that even though those supposedly older documents had been discarded and unused for many hundreds of years, simply because they were thought to be older, they should now be considered more reliable.  However, that "textual critic's" point of view seems to suggest that God was not able to preserve His Word over a span of more than 1,600 years.  Does that seem logical and reasonable to you?   For more details   . . . click this link.
