While there is great value and great wisdom to be gained by reading and studying all 790,391 words in all 66 books in the entire Bible, it is possible to learn everything that is really most essential to know by focusing attention on the relatively few key passages in which the Word of God declared universal truths and declarative instructions to mankind in His own words.

Jesus made an important distinction between the words that He spoke out of His own mouth as "the Word of God" and all the rest of the accompanying narrative in the Bible, when He said:
